Glock 23 Dented Brass
I haven't taken a close look at my spent brass (I don't reload) until today and I noticed small triangular dents in the mouth of the spent casings. Shooting 150 gr FMJ Blazer Brass with a Glock 23. I also notice some brass shavings when I field strip it. Is there some mechanical issue I should be concerned with? Or is it a function of light loads? Shooting form?
Maybe I'm over-reacting to a normal occurrence.

Re: Glock 23 Dented Brass
hey there, does this do this with all ammo? (different manufacturers?) if i understand right i THINK what you're dealing with is normal, when you fire the projectile and the bolt comes back to eject the spent casing its putting pressure on the casing on the side of the chamber before it is fully ejected. this creates a "flat spot" on the casing. as far as brass shavings, there will be some after shooting. make sure you clean it good, a clean firearm is a reliable one!. can you post a picture of your spent brass?
