got me a new Plinker

Just picked me a new plinker. It's a .22 in a 1911 frame. kinda cool

Been wanting one of these myself, anxious to hear how it performs. Did you find it locally?

I picked it up at Ace buyers for 250. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet but hope to this weekend..

I wasn't aware Ace sold handguns. I haven't been there in quite a while, but all they carried then were long guns, I'll be stopping in there today for sure, that's a great price for that model.

Took it out today and shoots great.. I put all kinds of ammo in it and stinger ammo works the best... I give it a 10.

Well Sarge, I went to Ace on Saturday with the intention of getting the Chiappa, but they had the new Taurus 738 TCP .380 in stock at a great price, so it came home with me. I plan on going back next weekend to get the Chiappa, it's a must have. Thanks for the tip on Ace, their prices are much cheaper than our other choices up here. Gander Mtn better get a grip on their prices, they are selling the Ruger LCP for $399 (WTF), and Ace is selling them for $299!!! Besides, Danny at Ace was a really cool guy to deal with, he'll be getting more of my biz for sure.

got one of those taurus 380s from jays a few weeks ago, any idea where to get ammo? , nice gun, but not much good without ammo, after i paid for it they told me about how hard it was to find ammo for, i did find a box of magtech at willams in auburn for $20., at a buck a bang, its a little pricy gun to shoot. hope supply gets better.

I got my ammo from Jays in Clare, they had plenty of SD ammo and several boxes of FMJ plinking ammo. I bought the Remington Golden Sabers for carry ammo, it was $21 / 25 rds, the Federal Hydra Shock was $18 / 20 rds, Speer Gold Dot was the same price and qty. They have Winchester FMJ $19 / 50 rds., also Great Guns in Traverse / Acme has 380 in stock also, I think it's around $24 / 50 rds FMJ. It's not the cheapest ammo around, but it's not one that I'm gonna shoot all the time, just enough to know how the gun shoots, I'll only fire a few rds of SD ammo to test for function, the rest of the shooting will be with the cheaper FMJ.
I've put about 50 rds thru my TCP since Saturday with no problems at all. It shoots point of aim for it's intended range of 7 yds, that's all I could really ask of it. It's not going to be my primary carry piece, just something for when clothing or activity won't allow my .45 to be carried comfortably. A gun in the pocket is better than one left in the car or left at home.

the new plinker is a bear to take down and clean... Oh, and don't take the handle of there is a little spring that like to shoot. (I found it) lol
